I just saw this on my facebook wall and I am clearly appalled. I am always updated by my friends on news stories that either make the news or don’t and everytime I see stuff like this is truly makes me wonder about the future of this world. In the latest news, my facebook has been alive with comments and posts about the planned parenthood shooter. Now these are some of the tweets that have been screenshot from the social media platform Twitter
These comments from these people are actually thanking the man for shooting innocent people. Whether you are pro-life or not, killing the mother is still gonna harm the baby. What I have seen from these comments is that these people have no sense of sympathy for the innocent people who were either injured or died and there is not only misogyny in these tweets they are trying to throw shade at #blacklivesmatter.
First of, yes woman can choose to have unprotected sex or not but it takes two human beings to have sex and I don’t see no one telling men to wrap ut up. Both men and women should be worried about protection from stds & unwanted pregnancies but it seems like it constantly falls onnthe woman to take the necessary procautions to issue that doesn’t happen. As for the hashtag blacklivesmatter – this movement is doing something for the black community, blacks are expressiing their concerns and making beautiful change with this movement and just because the positive isn’t blasted on the news 24/7 does not mean this movement is not doing something. We are more connected more than ever thanks to social media and we no longer have to rely on the whole “he said, she said” bs.
The planned parenthood shooter was taken into custody and so far what I am seeing in various news outlets is he gonna be treated the same way most white shooters are treated, with sympathy and the whole ‘lone wolf, mental illness, misunderstood’ stuff that always seems to happen when things like this happen cause when you have the complexion for the protection in this nation and you can have people feel so sorry for you and forgive you at the drop of a dime.
